Kuwait

The first NDC submission of Kuwait contributes highly, among others, to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' (21%) and SDG 11 'Sustainable Cities and Communities' (10%). For SDG 7 contributions relate to Target '7.2 Increase share of renewable energy' (50%) and Target '7.3 Double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency' (50%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Energy efficiency' (23%) and 'Efficient appliances' (15%). For SDG 11 some of the highest contributions relate to Target '11.2 Accessible and sustainable transport systems' (50%) and Target '11.1 Universal access to safe housing and basic services' (25%). Here, some of the main climate actions are related to 'Public transport access' (25%) and 'Safe and adequate housing' (25%).
